We have just added some new categories to Amber Zone. Green amber jewellery has become more and more popular because of its distinctive beauty and warmth so we have tried to make it easier for you to see our green amber pieces.

Green amber is created just the same as orange / cognac amber - fossilised tree resin set in precious metals. The difference with green amber is that organic material was trapped inside - moss, leaves, etc. giving it the distinctive green colour.

The Amber Loving Christmas Customers December 22, 2006

Well, Christmas is almost upon us and I notice I haven’t made a post for over 2 weeks! Where has the time gone and have I been slacking? No - but the Great British public has certainly shown their love of amber jewellery at this time of year. So many people realise that amber is a perfect gift and there’s going to be a lot of happy people on Christmas day opening their present and finding some green or cognac amber for them.
Looking back over the orders, it certainly seems that amber earrings are the most popular type of amber jewellery at the moment. It’s hard to say whether that’s because they’re so beautiful (they are) or they’re the right price for a nice gift (they are) but we have certainly sent out a lot of amber earrings. A close second in the popularity stakes are amber pendants and amber necklaces which have always proven to be popular. To the left are some of the most popular amber stud earrings.
All in all, I think the Christmas period has been a hit with our customers and we wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Amber Zone.

That time of year is coming and the age old question arises “What do I get the man in my life as a Christmas present?”.
Well, you could do much worse than the amber cufflinks to the left - I sent out a pair this morning and they certainly appealed to me and, after all, amber jewellery shouldn’t just be for women! As you can see, there’s two pieces of amber set in sterling silver and they are connected by a sturdy silver chain so they’re not rigid; there’s a bit of give in it. As always, the colour of the amber is perfect inside the stones have the depth that is expected from top quality amber.
